You can check the ZRA capability of your potentiostat using a common 1.5 V battery (AA or AAA) and a resistor in series. To perform the test assemble a cell and attach the potentiostat leads as shown in the figure below. When connecting across a 1 ohm resistor, as in the figure, you should measure around 1.5 ľA. This value may vary slightly depending on how fresh the battery is and the precision of the resistor. Note: Models 273 and 273A cannot be configured as an open-circuit ZRA.
